Request from a friend

A friend of mine asked me to make a KEEP CALM and GARDEN ON print for her. I kinda like it. I hope she does to. I wanted to make it a bit different then just solid colours etc...

I made some sweet treats for my peeps at work. The chocolates are yummy...and the brownie reindeer didn't disappoint either :) Life is sweet.

Mike had to get up ubber early for his body-lol.  Poor dude had to
get to work for 6 am :)  This man usually doesn't roll out of bed
until 7:30 am!  Have a wonderful day sweetie...

October, Flowers, Birthdays...Oh, My!

I made these cupcakes for my hubby's bd on the 15th

They didn't look like much but, the tasted AMAZING!
So we were still eating them the next day the 16th for my BD.

I love children...even my teenagers!!!!
This is what I woke up to stuck to the back door.(if
your wondering about the "queen" thing...
Last year I turned 40 :)
I'm the only girl in my family, so everyone called me "princess"
When I turned 40 my Aunt found this BD card for me and basically it just said
at the age of 40 your much to old to be a princess...
then on the inside it said "you can be the "QUEEN".
It has just stuck with everyone...
(apparently even my children-lol)

I got very ill...
so sleep...doesn't really happen that easily!

I can't believe we are into October...

and the best part of October...
Halloween.
We can't wait to get started...
we got some great decorations from a blowout sale
last year at the Superstore.

I bought this istick curling iron for my hair...
I'm really liking it!!!
I figure I can't fight these curls, I might as well embrace them:)
This pic had to be black and white as I have no make up on...
and as I'm getting older, I look scary with no make up!

It was a matter of time...

The 100ft ladder truck on our side of McCormick's
(east side of the building)
We were not allowed outside...
this was 5 hrs into the fire!
We figured it was dark so J and I went for a look.
We stayed in our laneway/front yard and didn't leave our street.
Most of our neighbours(over 100 of them)
were forced to leave their homes!
We were lucky...

It's so hard to take shots of firetrucks...

So sad and so blurry-sorry.
This was on a night time mode setting...
Really lightened up the black sky.

J just thought this shot was soooooo cool.  Firefighter to the left and crazy lights of the firetruck to the right.

Then J and I looked at the sun setting...
Beautiful!
We had to get back in the house before someone caught us outside...Police everywhere!!!
plus the smell of everything burning was awful!!!

Update...things peaceful around here 8ish am Sunday
But, it still stinks Bigtime!
